Gone to the Dogs:  some of the best clicker based positive dog training in the area.
Michigan Dog Trainer:  based in Plymouth, intensive training.  Some negative training, which is not my thing.
TLCC Dog Training:  another top choice in dog training, also positive based.  Located in Farmington Hills

A German Shepherd at Doggy Day Care

Man, I forgot just how obnoxious puppies (meaning, any GSD under 2) can be. Our newest is a 'whirling dervish' according to my husband.  She'd full of energy, and always wants to play frisbee.  Like, she'll literally be standing my the back dog when we walk outside, frisbee in mouth, begging to play.  She's so enthusiastic she's ruined the backyard grass, since she digs those toenails in and leaps through the air to get the frisbee. Luckily, we've been taking her to Dogtopia for doggy day care .  I used to go to Utica, and now more often than not I go to the Commerce location (although sometimes I'll head to Bham or Bloomfield as well, depending on where I'm working for that month).
